Early Dismissal- December 8, 2021

There will be an early dismissal for a teacher in service on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021. Students will be dismissed at 11:40 AM. Breakfast will be available, but lunch will not be served.

School Council Meeting

The next meeting of the Forest Avenue School Improvement Council is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 6th @ 6:30 p.m. in the Forest Avenue School Library.  School Improvement Council Meetings are open to everyone.  Please be reminded that masks must be worn in order to enter the building.        

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, December 14th and Wednesday, December 15th. Both days will be an early dismissal from school for students at 11:40 AM.  Evening conferences will be held from 6:30 – 8:00 PM on the night of December 15th.  Parents/Guardians have the option for either a virtual conference via Google Meet or an in person meeting here at Forest Avenue School. If you would prefer virtual, please type this under special requests when signing up for your conference. Your child’s teacher will then send you the meeting link via email prior to the conference.  If you choose to be in person for your child’s conference, please be sure to be on time and to wear a mask.  To schedule a conference for your student please lick on the link below.

12th Annual Hudson's Got Talent Jr. 

We are bringing our star-studded variety show back to the big stage!! The 12th Annual Hudson's Got Talent Jr will take place on Friday, January 7, 2022.  If you are a 3rd or 4th grader and have a special talent or like to perform - WE WANT YOU!!  Please fill out the registration form below, or flyers will be going home later this week for you to fill it out and send it to your school in an envelope addressed to:  Kelly Haley, HGT. JR/Forest Ave.  Performance Previews will take place on 12/5, 12/6, or 12/14- you only need to attend one night.  If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Haley at 508-577-5869 or (please put HGT JR in the subject line).

Update from the School Nurse

As the cold weather has arrived please make sure your child is dressed appropriately.  Recess will continue to be outside unless the temperature is below 23 degrees Fahrenheit with the wind chill factor. If assistance is needed in purchasing a winter coat and boots please contact us so that we can be of assistance.

If you have had your child vaccinated, please be sure to send in a copy of the vaccination card after their second dose.

Please send your child in with extra masks. Also, send your child in with a reusable water bottle to refill with water at our new Refill Stations.

Know your COVID symptoms.  Monitor your child daily for the following:

  • Fever (100.0 degree Fahrenheit or higher), chills, or shaking chills
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Muscle aches or body aches
  • Cough (not due to other known cause, such as chronic cough)
  • Sore throat, when in combination with other symptoms
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea when in combination with other symptoms
  • Headache when in combination with other symptoms
  • Fatigue, when in combination with other symptoms
  • Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to other known causes, such as allergies) when in combination with other symptoms

Hudson Holiday Coalition

Thursday, December 16th:  Virtual Home & School Meeting

We will be holding our next virtual Home & School Meeting Thursday, December 16th starting at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place via Google Meet. Parents who wish to join the meeting must email Mr. Champigny by noon on Wednesday, December 15th by sending him their name and email address. His email address is  The invitation to join the meeting will be sent approximately five minutes before the meeting, so please make sure we have the correct information for you.  We hope to see you then!
