From the Principal
Forest Avenue Families:
Beginning with the
Trimester II, report cards, which are scheduled to go out on Friday,
March 24th, all three elementary schools will be publishing report cards
in ASPEN. This means that paper copies will no longer be sent home with
students unless requested by a parent /guardian. In ASPEN, report cards
will be available under the Published Reports section on the Pages top
tab. This puts the elementary schools in line with the middle and high
school which also publish report cards electronically. Parents must have
an ASPEN Parent Portal account to view electronic report cards. ASPEN
Parent Portal accounts are automatically created using your student’s
first contact email account. Parents and guardians will be receiving an
email from ASPEN Help soon with your account information. If an
additional account is needed, please create an Incident IQ ticket using
the link below. Parents are encouraged to log into your ASPEN Parent
Portal account. If you need help with your login credentials, please
fill out an Incident IQ ticket.
This
month Parent / Teacher Conferences will also be taking place. Here at
Forest Avenue School they will be held on Wednesday, March 29th and
Thursday, March 30th. This means that students will be dismissing at
11:45 AM on both days and evening conferences will be held from 6:30 –
8:00 on the 30th. To sign up for a conference, a link will be sent out
via email from PCT Fast on March 15th. The link will also be available
in our Weekly Announcements. I encourage you to take advantage of this
opportunity to meet with your student’s teachers.
Finally,
starting in April, our third and fourth grade students will be
participating in State Testing. MCAS Testing in English Language Arts
will take place in April followed by Mathematics Testing in May. Please
be sure to check out the full testing schedule in this edition of the
Falcon Focus.
Sincerely,
Dave Champigny
